Can someone give the advantages and disadvantages of not using your own real estate agent to purchase a home? We have never bought a home before, but we consider ourselves to be pretty educated on the subject, as we have done a lot of research. We would most likely use the agent that the seller is using to help us with the paperwork and everything. Has anyone done this, and what would you recommend?

A friend of mine said that her and her husband do it and are able to cover the second payment due for the real estate taxes. If this is so then how do you go about doing it?
The offer was never accepted nor declined by the seller’s bank. I had found another house and decided to withdraw my offer on the previous home. Am I in breach of contract? My agent for the first home is upset because I went with another agent on the second home. He is saying I am in breach of contract. I am working in real estate part time evenings and weekends. I would like to find a partner that can do the things during the day. The people in my office really don’t talk to me at all, I guess because I am new. Even when I try to talk to them the ignore me. My family and friends don’t believe in real estate as a career, they are more 9-5 people. They think that you can only make money with a stable job. What is a good way to find a partner.
Do I need a commercial real estate broker or a commercial real estate agent? Would the agent we used to buy our condo be able to help us or do we need someone specializing in commercial real estate only?

I was reviewing the local sheriff real estate sale results and noticed that several houses were bought by mortgage companies. Don’t they want to get rid of these houses? Why are they buying them?
I am 25, and still trying to figure out exactly what direction I want to go as far as a career is concerned. I currently work for the largest privately owned dealer group in the country, but I am not 100% sure I want to remain in the car business. Ive recently got my real estate license, now i dont know what to do? I know that I need to place my license with a broker, im just pondereing how im going to get my name out there, to get everything moving.
It is my understanding (and maybe I’m wrong) but years back real estate was included when inflation was calculated. It’s such a huge part of “Rising costs” so why is real estate no longer factored in?

I’m interested in what exactly the HVCC does to the average real estate appraiser (Fee appraiser/independant appraiser).
I’m aware of the concept behind it and what it is suppose to do; however, I’m interested in exactly what it does.

My husband and I used a real estate agent and made an offer on a house. Our real estate agent is a woman and we felt like she was not negotiating well with the seller’s agent. My father in law managed to talk and convince the seller’s real estate agent to take us seriously but we had to offer higer and use him as our real estate agent. Can we get sued by our real estate agent or her office by signing a new contract with another agent? Yes we signed papers with her stating that she would represent us.
