I have been working with a real estate agent. I recently found some worrisome things after the home inspection. Do I still have to pay the agent if they don’t sell my house? How much? Would all this be in the contract? I will ask the agent but I thought I would just throw this out there. Thank You.

Do you still expect the values to rise at this rate in the next couple of years? Just out of curiosity, have the real estate values ever decreased in India before, like they did in USA?
I am a Sophomore student in GA, and I am really interested in getting into the real estate business. What is the term for this? When your real estate taxes are taken from your monthly mortgage payment and the mortgage company pays the taxes.

I’m new at this…but it just seems so impossible to make any money in real estate. You have to pay for loan of the down payment, the property tax, insurance and mortgage……renting it out is not enough to cover the entire cost of all these components. The only way I can see making money is by it appreciating in value over time. Will the rent ever exceed these other costs…is it worth holding on to and putting your own money in? How do people buy 20 houses? I just want to know. Thanks for your input!
I know in some states you’re required to work for 2 years as a salesperson before being “allowed” to become a broker. In Illinois, is it possible to skip the whole sponsoring thing and go directly from getting a sales license to taking classes for a broker’s license?
Can your first EVER interview with a real estate firm be as a licensed broker, or are you forced to start at the bottom?
Right now the Real Estate Agents I know that are still in the business are still saying it’s a great time to buy and that if you don’t buy now then you will miss the boat. I think that what Real Estate Agents say is a great indicater of where the market is at. So once they start accepting that there was a huge bubble then sellers that are holding out now will start walking away from their mortgages or sell at losses. Then the prices can adjust and might even fall below where they are supposed to be.

I am studying for my Real Estate License and would like to get a head start.
I am doing a research on residential real estate market for a school project. However, I can’t seem to find much useful information over the internet. What I want to know are
1) How many landlords in the US
2) How many tenants in the US
3) How many percent of landlor own x number of property
4) What’s the average rent that people pay, preferably break down by demographics.
stuff like that.

I know that here in California the seller pays 3% to a buyer’s agent and 3% to a seller’s (own) agent, but in this year of tumultuous real estate sales and dropping values of homes, many Realtors are quoting negotiable commission structure. How difficult is it to sell your home without a real estate agent? What sort of information, forms, etc would I need?
I am interested in changing careers. But, can not afford to attend a school because I need the money to support my family. But, want to enter the real estate field. There are so many schools that advertise online about obtaining degrees and certificates. However, I wanted to know what online schools or courses that are best for the working individual who can’t afford to quit their job to attend a school for a career change? Please help. By the way, I am in Connecticut but, have plans to move this summer to Texas. Do the real estate rules change or are different from state to state?
