I think my real estate agent is steeling various expensive items every time he comes to take a look at the house. I also think that he is setting too low of a price on my house. It is a 7 bedroom 4 bathroom home and he is only offering 100,000.

First of all, you should report your theft suspicions to the managing broker at his office immediately. Also, you can state your displeasure with the selling price. You may be tied to this real estate firm with a contract, however, you can request that the broker assign your sale to another agent within the firm.

First YOUR real estate agent doesn’t get to set the price of your house. They can make suggestions but the sale price is up to you period. Secondly if you suspect them of stealing things from your property, you could do a couple things. First you could try and set them up to be caught, leave something out in a place that they would see it and after you know they have been there go and check, if its gone call the cops and report them. Or you could just tell them that you need to be present when walk throughs are done and you need your keys back. Just remember that, that is YOUR house not theirs and you are doing them a favor by allowing them to represent you not the other way around. Real estate agents make money from you by selling your house, you’ve got the goods that they are selling. They need your business to be in business.
