I’m from NYC so comparably most cities will not be as urban. However, real estate is so high, I’m looking for a city that is growing larger but with a housing market that’s still affordable. Is Atlanta an example?

Jacksonville, NC. It is probably the most affordable costal real estate you can possibly find on the East Coast. The city is growing very quickly and will probably not be cheap for much longer.

Atlanta is a great market right now with real estate deals galore and I think it has much to offer a New Yorker, in terms of cultural diversity and alternative lifestyles.
I myself am trying to move to Chattanooga, TN. it is an upcoming city but is far from offering a seasoned New
Yorker a alternative way of life.

Atlanta is an example, but if you want the ultimate example of anti-urban, it’s Atlanta. There aren’t many cities more sprawling than Atlanta.
I think if you’re looking for an urban city that is growing larger with a relatively affordable housing market, you probably should consider places like Dallas or Denver.
